Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat and at Events Under Canvas we are feeling particularly festive after helping some fabulous people host some epic dos.
Think our tipis and sailcloths can only work during the warmer months? Think again! We often speak to clients who love the idea of a more outdoorsy affair, but are worried that their preferred midwinter date will make it impossible. In fact, our structures provide cosy, picture perfect backdrops for a whole host of magical winter celebrations – all twinkling lights, toasty fires and glittering finishing touches. We’ve put together some pointers for those of you who are considering braving the big chill for your big day…
Now that it’s November and the peak wedding and festival season is over, we are turning our thoughts to Christmas 2018!
Just thinking about cosying up by an open fire, drinking mulled wine or dancing away to Christmas songs gets us excited for the cold winter nights that are upon us.
Are you looking to plan a Christmas party this year?… Whether you are thinking about hosting a party for just family and friends or planning a big corporate event, why not do something a bit different and give your Festive party the WOW factor in one of our stunning Tipis?
Create the perfect venue to celebrate this year with presents stacked up by a sparkling Christmas tree, a crackling fire-pit and twinkling fairy lights all around you. Add a bar for your guests, or maybe a hot chocolate or doughnut station? And why not finish the night by toasting marshmallows over the fire pit? Yum!
Start Planning Your Winter Corporate Events Now
We all know just how effective corporate events are at boosting employee morale, engaging with new vendors and creating connections with potential investors. In fact, a corporate event has the power to make a business more successful and create dramatic new growth. While many corporate events are held in the summer when the weather is much nicer and a lot more predictable, that doesn’t have to mean that we miss out on this incredible opportunity for positive growth and success during the winter. Just because the temperatures have dropped and the snow is flying, doesn’t mean that corporate events can’t be scheduled in the winter. On the contrary, winter is perfect for a wide range of corporate events, they just take proper planning to be done right! Read More
It’s part five in our ‘Introducing’ series and while we are rather sad that we have “come to the end of the line” as far as the blogging goes – sigh – we’re also SUPER excited because it means that our Event Under Canvas is nearly upon us! A lot of hard graft has gone into getting this weekend out of the starting blocks and the real work is only just beginning, as our trusty team on the ground get cracking with the set up before we welcome you all through the gates at Great Gilbert Farm this Saturday and Sunday. Keep an eye on our Instagram for some behind-the-scenes snaps from the crew while they get everything ship shape…
But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves! We still have another round of introductions to make and you are not going to want to skip this one. Today we bring you the bridal gowns of dreams from Suzanne Harrington Bride, photobooth perfection from Hello Tuk Tuk and tunes from the antithesis of the traditional cheesy wedding DJs (there’ll be no Grease mega-mix here, we promise!) in the form of Fox & Braces. If they don’t float your boat we don’t know what will, quite frankly. To round off proceedings we also wanted to give a big shout out to the unsung heroes – the ones lurking in the shadows of every wedding just quietly doing their thing, without whom none of it would be possible. Yes, that’s right, we’re talking toilets, power and heat… Lacking in the glamour stakes? Maybe, but overlook them at your peril, ladies and gents!
Gooooood day to you and welcome to part four in our ‘Introducing’ series, bringing you all the inside info on the suppliers we have hand-picked to set up alongside us this April. Whether you are recently engaged, approaching the big day, planning a particularly special party, or just fancy having a nose around our new digs, we would love to see you ‘down on the farm’ for our first showcase! From 11am until 3pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th our range of (rather brilliant) structures – from our nifty little Nimbus, to our versatile stretch tents, chic sailcloth tent and famous giant tipis – will be on display in all their glory. So if you’ve got your heart set on an event under canvas, or you know someone who has, this is one weekend you won’t want to miss.
Now you’ve got the date in your diary, it’s about time we put four more super suppliers in the spotlight! Today we welcome the charming Brown Birds, the crafty Beer & Co, the always full of beans Queen Bee Coffee and the timeless Classic Shaver to the blog. Here’s what you need to know about this great bunch…
