Introduction to the Wedding Industry Awards

The Wedding Industry Awards is about recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry! Awards are presented both regionally and nationally in 25 categories (nationally in one more) to make 26 categories in total.

Why did we Enter?

We chose to enter because these are the only regional and national wedding awards voted for solely by past clients. This helps to ensure the results are not only valuable internally by showing us our customers perspective, winning this award would provide real peace of mind for anyone organising a wedding and looking for the highest quality suppliers for their special day. The chance to be shortlisted for or win an award is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our products and prove we are providing a superior level of service.

Judged by Experts

When voting, our clients scored us on various aspects of Tipi Hire, Sailcloth Tent Hire and our Finishing Touches for our tents. Using a combination of your average voter score and judging process to identify shortlists for regional and national winners. The high-profile judging panel is second to none in it’s expertise and ensure that the judging process is as fair and rigorous as possible. This gives the award more credibility and ensures a consistent process to aid both the wedding suppliers and couples organising their weddings alike. After the competition closes, we can download our voters comments and average performance scores which is a great to help keep our standards high and so that we can continue to learn as we continue to grow.

We are very proud to say that Events Under Canvas were selected as Regional Winners, being voted the No.1 supplier in the East of England! We we also shortlisted as National Finalists!

Reasons for our Success

So what do we do to ensure we are providing a superior service to our customers?
  1. All general enquiries are responded to within 24 hours (if not immediately).
  2. During events we are on-call 24 hours a day.
  3. All site staff are well-trained and professional and will always be in uniform, well-presented and polite.
  4. We conduct regular meetings to constantly review and challenge our health & safety record in an environment of learning and constant improvement.
  5. Every event has a sign-off process to ensure the customer is entirely satisfied and every detail has been checked before handover.
  6. We adopt a can-do approach to all enquiries and events, going above and beyond to delight our customers.
  7. We select our suppliers carefully, choosing to work with businesses that match our own company ethos.
  8. Most of our tipi furniture is bespoke and designed from up-cycled materials which are sourced locally.
