Even though the weekend may have seen a bit of rain, after the rain there came a rainbow. Which brought lots of smiles and laughter to Bluegate Farm in Capel St. Mary last weekend. 
Due to the difficult times and events of 2020, we didn’t quite think we would ever make it and put on the Showcase, however for yet another year running, the annual Tipi and Sailcloth Showcase was a great success.
Yet again our Showcase in October 2019 was a huge success at Events Under Canvas HQ. Yes, it was freezing and yes, it was raining sideways and blowing a gale, but actually we shouted a big yippee as this helps us to show that our amazing structures can withstand the most dreary of British weathers.
Our inspiration behind the weekend is to create an interactive day so you can all come along and get a true understanding of how to turn your wedding Pinterest ‘inspo’ board into a canvas dream.

It’s part five in our ‘Introducing’ series and while we are rather sad that we have “come to the end of the line” as far as the blogging goes – sigh – we’re also SUPER excited because it means that our Event Under Canvas is nearly upon us! A lot of hard graft has gone into getting this weekend out of the starting blocks and the real work is only just beginning, as our trusty team on the ground get cracking with the set up before we welcome you all through the gates at Great Gilbert Farm this Saturday and Sunday. Today we bring you the bridal gowns of dreams from Suzanne Harrington Bride, photobooth perfection from Hello Tuk Tuk and tunes from the antithesis of the traditional cheesy wedding DJs (there’ll be no Grease mega-mix here, we promise!) in the form of Fox & Braces. If they don’t float your boat we don’t know what will, quite frankly. To round off proceedings we also wanted to give a big shout out to the unsung heroes – the ones lurking in the shadows of every wedding just quietly doing their thing, without whom none of it would be possible. Yes, that’s right, we’re talking toilets, power and heat… Lacking in the glamour stakes? Maybe, but overlook them at your peril, ladies and gents!

So many great suppliers, so little time! We’re back with the third in our series of blogs introducing the top team that will be making our Event Under Canvas one to remember. With just a few weeks until we open the gates for our first tipi and sailcloth tent showcase we have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response from prospective brides and grooms so far. It seems a lot of you are just as excited to spend a few hours in the company of these fantastic people as we are so don’t hesitate to give us a yell if you want to set up a time to chat in the flesh!
